Found my (realistic) dream home...

Wife cruises Zillow regularly and I thought I'd give it a shot.

While my real dream home is a beautiful home on a private ski lake in the trees (see: Ski Ranch in Covington, LA), I found a realistic dream house and I'm freaking out.
  • 3 car garage big enough for the 195
  • 3400 sq ft including a finished basement
  • 12 minutes to my favorite lake w/ no traffic
  • 27 minutes to work on a wide-open new highway

Just had to share with some folks since I'm super excited. Really hope we can make it happen!

Cool looking house. So are you moving off of a lake?

Nice place! I dig the 3rd garage for toy storage....But most importantly, I love the kitchen, the island is sweet...the house should revolve around the kitchen(or bar) for perfect entertaining...

No, living in the 'burbs. Right now we're 25-35 minutes from the two main lakes in the area. Moving here gets me super close to my favorite one.

Agreed, I'm a huge food and entertaining guy. Plus, this house has NG so the first thing to go in is a gas stove. Hoping to go see it with our realtor this week!

Looks like there is a countertop gas range and an in cabinet double oven there already.

Nice looking house. When you say "While my real home is a beautiful home on a private ski lake in the trees" do you mean your real dream house? That was confusing.

Find a way to make this one happen if it feels right. Good luck.
