x10 questions

I'm kicking around an x10 as an option to replace my 91 maristar direct drive. Any feed back on the x10? I love my Maristar, but I need more room for people and the direct drive is cramped for space. I also love the ski wake, and I feel I would be giving that up as well. Hows the ski wake for a recreational skier? I have heared the old x-star/current x-1 is a better all around boat, should I look for one of those, or is the x-10 just as good?

Things I like to do: 1. Ski 2. Surf 3. Wakeboard in that order

205V hull will be a better ski and wakeboard boat, but it has less room than the 210. 205V might not be any better than your current boat.

Try both if you can, but the X-1 hull is the best v-drive slalom wake you will likely find (aside from the new X-14 that is). Maybe even add a wake plate to it to help flatten out the slalom wake.

My buddy had an X-1, great wakeboard boat and pretty darn good surf wake too. I never slalom skied behind it so I can't comment on that.

If a roomy boat is more important, the X-10 (and X-30) have alot of room and more storage than the X-1. They also ride better in the chop.

It's all a matter of priorities.

The problem you have is the hull for #1 needs to be opposite the hull for #2. I have the 2006 X1, with 750lbs in the back, 350 in the ski locker and 200 in the bow on the same side you can surf all day. The ski wake is above average to good above 32mph, very good above 34mph. The ski wake is average below 30, similar to most I/O's. It wakeboards great empty, will take you W2W and through all the intermeadiate tricks without ballast. I have thought about an X14 but they are hard to weight for surfing. None of the V drives ski as well as a direct drive. It's a physics thing.
