Looking great Jim. The smiles on your boy's faces say it all.

BTW, Jim, I meant to comment, my favorite part of reading through the entire thread was the video. Your smile when powering along said it all. The pics of your boys reminded me of that same smile, chip off the ole', so to say...

I have twin 9-year olds, and I'm looking forward to seeing their faces just like your guys. I bought my 96 Prostar at the end of last season (one of my best friends bought a new 96 bow rider, and we skied together often, and I want to repeat that experience since I love that hull, but with the closed bow), and have not gotten it into the water yet. I'm doing all the stuff everyone writes about here (which is why I read all the threads, and thanks, all, for taking the time to post, since us newbies DO use them!) - ripped out all the seats, using Copycat for skin replacement (which I'm installing now and I'll post), ripped out all carpeting and am having that done (no time to do myself), rebuilding that honeycomb back seat base and floor panel with marine plywood and fiberglass, etc. I had HOPED to get it into the water by July 4th, but it's all taking longer and we're riding our waverunners to hold us over! But I really enjoy seeing everyone's postings and respect the dedication to the MC brand.

...I do want to see that Corvair again, though...

New steering cable came in today from SKIDIM. I hope to get it back on this weekend and have some more fun on the water. Alot of people on the come by the house when I am near the water and ask where the boat is at? I tell them what has happen and then there more understanding. I think it is so kool that so many like the older style MC.

Jim, those smiles remind me of when my brother and I would go out on the boat with my dad. They'll have awesome memories for a long time as I'm sure you will too. Boat is looking magnificent! Sorry to hear about the steering issue. That'll teach you to not do power turns.
