Well we went out today and the trans to a crap. So I took it to a local boat shop to
have them see what is wrong with it and if it can be fixed. It should take a week they said
for them to get it back working again. I will let you guys know the out come.

So sorry to hear about the tranny. Hope it isn't anything too big. Just an old addadge(sp?) to remember "the happiest days in a boat owners life are when he buys it and when he sells it."
Again so sorry to hear about it, it looks awesome and you've done a great job.

Jim; What a great thread. I just re-read it start to finish and re-capping the memories over the last months. Good luck with that "bullet proof" tranny. The good news is when it gets repaired, it will last foooorrrrreeeeeevvvvvverrrrrr.......

Tough break, my friend. The insides of that trans must be one of the few places untouched on that LTD. Just a few more dollars and a little more time, right?

Thanks guys, It is just alittle set back for now. It is the only thing I didnt tear down and rebuild. I did put the new seals in the front and the rear and new rear seal nut. I dont think it is anything to bad it did get us back to the launch. I didnt want to take it back out and rebuild it. I am sure there not to bad to fix but I didnt want to make more problems for my self by fixing it and having to take it out again because it wasnt rebuilt right. The guys at the boat shop liked the resto. The flake is what gets everyone eyes.

Jim, that absolutely sucks! At least you didn't have to be towed back. The silver lining though is this thread stays alive.
