I wonder if the dimensions of your combing pads would transfer over to mine? There was another thread on here about a resto (may have been 83 SuperSlot) and they added lower sections that connected to the gunwales (sp.) without screws and could be removed. He put speakers in and it created a spce to put ski's, etc. I'm no where near that yet, but tying to think ahead if I ever find some scrap wood someone is getting rid of. Still haven't got my gas tank back, but I did find some sand paper so I took off the grey teak swim platform off to start it. Maybe I can get my nephew to help out?

Ox , The combing pads would work with ones I have for your boat. I was thinking about making mine like that to but the way I have mine they work for me. I still have a set cut if you need some. How is the Teak comming along? Have any pics?

Had a little hang up on the shaft today so It will all be installed on Thursday. I will get some pics of then. Time for me to get back to wet sanding the rest of the stars off so I can get the new ones on.

Jim, I didn't get a chance to start the teak yet. I'm hoping to this afternoon with some help from my nephew. That kid has more energy than any 3 kids put together. If we could bottle that the energy crisis would be over for sure. The teak is pretty bad off. It's grey and a little rough. What grit would you recommend starting with? I'll put a pic up later. I may take you up on the combing pads.

I can't wait to get teak on mine.... Hopefully some day soon. I think it just makes the boat look so much my "classy". Good luck with it Ox!

Ox , Combing pannels I can send them out anytime and you can rework them to your liking. They both would be a great start. With your TEAK I would get intouch with TMCNo1 and see what he has to say to go about bringing it back to life.

Peter, Thanks trying to keep the work as nice and neat as I can. I have been wet sanding the boat all day today. I am getting ready to spray the clear I am hoping by next Tuesday. Then time for more wet sanding and polish then get the new graphics on. I have also been looking for tan carpet to put in the boat. Then I will be almost done with the boat.

Jim, I downloaded TMCNo1 teak tutorial. Thanks. I keep getting side tracked, but today I'll at least get a picture of the condition its in now. I'll need to save up for the shipping and whatever you want for the material on the pads. I appreaciate it. When are we going to see the pics af the wet sanding progress?
