I previously winterized the beast back in Oct (drained and blew out water, opened up everything in the boat to fully dry, etc). Yesterday, I finally got around to removing all the life jackets, etc, and hung them in the basement (had everything hanging on the board racks). Decided I'd just feel better with some pink stuff in the system. So, reconnected hoses, reinstalled the engine block plug and knock sensor on the other side, closed the raw water intake valve, plugged in my fancy adapter with a section of hose, and quickly sucked a couple gallons of the pink stuff through the system. Just a little extra insurance. Now the hard part: Waiting for Summer.
