While I had the bilge open I replaced the blower hose. Old screw holes (multiple holes) patched up with silica filled epoxy and some glass. Cleaning up under a part of the carpeting that's loose that I will glue down this weekend.

Thanks Peter, The aluminum vent hose was have the cost of the black hose from Overton's. Both fire resistance and heat resistant. I was surprised how hard the loctite marine epoxy got - Looking forward to having that part of the carpet glued down again.

I topped my gas tank off so it would be full for the winter.

I have a film of white powder stuff on the bottom, how to you recommend I take it off?

I wouldn't go with the shiny stuff. It would take too much time cleaning and waxing it.

How puncture resistant is that new tube? That was/is the problem with mine right now. I've seen some "stronger looking" dryer hoses and wonder if that is an option as well?!?

Something like this?

It seems pretty tough compared to the cheap stuff - I considered the hard tube.. but like Peter says I would have an issue when it got dirty

I have seen some solutions with PVC pipe - as well.
