The PO let the keel get into pretty bad shape. The nylon pad had been worn through as well as the carpet that he installed over it. I had the keel repaired and promptly replaced the keel pad. It did not take long to see that the new pad would soon be wearing through as well, so the plan was hatched.

Although several, more elaborate ideas were floated around, in the end, simplicity was the winner. Made some mounting brackets to be welded to the existing cross member and installed the roller. Notched the old pad to fit around the brackets so that the pad could be installed as a just in case. Boat has been launched several time since and all is well so far.
repair looks awesome!... I will be changing my keel roller next season... mine is old and scuffing keel will black marks..

Nice, I just realized my post is titled Bow Roller, should have been Keel Roller.

Put new registration numbers on. Nothing fancy, just the same white letters. The old ones were getting yellow. I didn't realize how bad they had gotten until I put the new ones on.

After leaving the boat in the water for a couple days at the Sacramento Delta, the hull had some staining on it. On Saturday, I took it to my buddy's yard and he helped me hoist it. I then used hull cleaner and waxed it. Bottom is now shiny white and good as new.

I shredded my binimi (boot failed and the failing top got trashed in a heartbeat when going down the interstate). Now I'm WORKING on finding a replacement top and boot.

This weekend stripped the old clear coat that was chipping off the wheels on my trailer. There was nice shiny chrome underneath, so I polished it and it looks great now.

Before on left, after on right.
