I don't want to start a new thread for this and it's kind of what work did you do. I'm always concerned with how much oil to put in because of the bad dipsticks on the 90's models (I have a 91 PS 190 with the 260hp) I change my oil before going out last weekend and drained out about a gallon (4 quarts) plus whatever was in the Mobil 1 filter but added 5 quarts. When I went out Sunday I had a slight ticking sound that didn't get louder when I when I opened the engine cover. Do you experts think it could be caused by over filling the oil? When I drained the oil I put the drain tube out the plug hole and let it drain over night into a pan. Do you think I should drain a 1/4 or 1/2 quart out and see if it goes away, if it does mark the dipstick so I know what full is for future oil changes? Maybe all the oil didn't drain out so the 5 quarts is really 5 1/2 and I'm over filled?
The ticking sound was new, it wasn't there the last time I went out before the oil change.
Thanks

It was toast. It went to the landfill. I made a new plate to replace the plate that had the hole cut in it for the small remote. Here is a picture. You can see where I had put the remote before I moved it yesterday.

Very cool. As you know we have the same boat. I'm going to buy a blank plate from GreatLakesSkipper and get rid of that remote and do the same thing you did. Do you just use the PerfectPass as your speedo? Can't get rid of my cupholder

Located the cause of PP blowing the main fuse. Unplugged the timer and all is good, the kids have reported that it is working fine. Why are all the nice days during the work week?

I did that this year for my observer seat as well, a must have in a closed bow boat. When I bought it they didn't work, the PO was just using a chunk of 2x4.....
