Yeh I am also looking forward to seeing it. Picked up an X-9 from Queensland, I am in the hands of the transport company. Fingers crossed.

We should have a MC get together at lake Eildon this summer. Bourbon 66 welcome! Having done heaps of work on my X5 this year I have found a number of contacts for spares. Let me know if you need them.

Going to be replacing the fuel filter today, and its a tank out job!!!
That sound like a great idea Mark. I will be hopefully dragging the boat over the Doon bridge next weekend. Really hanging to get it wet when it arrives. Don't think there will be any ropes out the back though. Also thanks for the offer regarding part contacts. Really appreciated.

A couple days ago I installed a 5-35 mph speedometer and last night I tightened the pylon top and bottom. Then I dropped the rudder to try to diagnose my steering stiffness but didn't really find a problem.

Here's the speedometer. Now I have to get the other matching gauges. Really like this one.

Replaced both pins with stainless steel bolts as the platform was loose after the originals sheered off. It seemed loose a week or so, which makes me believe that one was good and the other was snapped off but enough in the hole to hold.

The bolt is treadless where it contacts the platform bracket, but I still wonder if I should replace with an original pin?

Seems stronger with the bolt and we don't fold down the platform.

Last week, but..

I did this:

And this:

And everything in between. To make sure I wasn't asking for a tow or jump start, I added a third one of these too (two house batts, one starter batt):

Added new shoes to the BUTRLV

Or for you V-drive types .... Boat Unit Transport Retrieval Launch Vehicle

Went with the Maxxis 8008 .... Tandem .... will issue a full report after my tow to TN in the coming weeks .... replaced Marathons (which were fine for 5 years) .... just a pro-active replacement.

My pic upload keeps failing .... booo ... I wanted to share a pic .... oh well.

Ordered a new actuator assembly from PacificTrailers. Can't wait to see how the trailer handles when there are actually brakes on it haha. Also figured out my trailer light issues...ended up being a blown fuse on the truck end. Go figure

One more thing, drilling out the stock cans to accept new WetSounds XS650s.
