Seller didn't give us his old ski stuff, so we made a family trip to Overton's for some combos, ski rope, gloves and shock tube. Then went to the storage unit to play on the boat and learn more about it. First voyage this week!Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk 21370756128.244614.jpg

yeah I had the same issue... rebuilt might as well last fall...

I finished today. Installed a DIY wake tower on the PS190. Bought it with a ski rack, wake board rack, two speaker cans, and a three light bar. Huge PAI to get everything put together properly so the tower would fit and fold down. Even bigger PAI to run all of the wires through the tower. Also installed a Taylor tower bimini.

So, for the critics...

I know that it is a PS190 and it is not supposed to have a tower. But it really adds function to the boat. The skis go up on the rack out of the way. Same for wake boards. Not a wake board boat, got it. But I have friends and family who are not wake board fanatics but enjoy boarding once in a while. Now, they can be pulled from the tower and people can actually sit on the back bench.

It is not a New Dimensions. But with tower, ski rack, wakeboard rack, speaker cans, light bar, bimini, stereo, amp, and speakers I am into this less than $2k. Cannot beat the price and it still looks pretty damn good.

The bimini can fold up and out of the way when not used or during travel. Also, the tower folds down in just a couple of minutes with only one person. The tower folds just low enough that it fits underneath my very short garage door. The ski rack end just brushes the weather stripping on the top of the door opening.

Also replaced the winged rudder that I ran last season and the start of this season. I got it from somebody with a late 90's PS190. Thought it might help provide some lift in the stern and soften the wake table a bit. Not sure that I don't prefer the standard rudder. I'll find out soon enough.

Bought pretty much the cheapest stereo system available. Not too concerned about it since I haven't had one in the boat since, well ever. Had to create a mount to hold the stereo. Still get pretty good quality sound and its loud. Not like the boats with the $3k sound systems but good enough for a little music.

Sure the 190 isn't a wakeboard boat, but it's YOUR BOAT. No need to justify it to us :-)

I am getting a Fly High pole this season, and if I get the Clark Griswold Christmas bonus, I hope to put PerfectPass and a ND tower/racks/cans this winter on our "new" 195.
