So laid it up for our winter and plan to give the X2 a detail in and out. So starting with interior, Malco and pressure wash all vinyl that can be removed, then hit with 303 protectant. Carpet thouroughly vacuumed then to steam clean. Heres a couple of pics so far

Nice!! There's only one other spot I can think of that's worse for a tribal band and that's on ones arm, so original.

^^ I'm not understanding. Is the point of this co reduction for surfing? Or what?

Looks wild, but that thing better be supported/secured. I'm no engineer, but I envision massive loads placed upon that 3" tube.....

Main benefit I'm hoping for is noise reduction and co reduction while idling around, it is supported. But like you said I'm not sure on the drag effect yet.. I'll be keeping a very close eye on it to see how it does.. I've been wating fresh air exhaust for a while and my brother does stainless welding so I let him build us one

Yeah I see the support. I would expect the support to transfer an upward load into the platform. What I'd wonder about over time is fatigue where the platform mounts to the boat. But I'm not an engineer lol, just a shade tree mechanic. There are a bunch of engineers on this forum and maybe one will chime in.

Hopefully one will! If I notice a bunch of pressure on the platform I'll take it off
