Didn't have time to complete step 2 & 3 of the polish...just the compound tonight, but there is definitely progress being made. The MC's a new color gray and looks like a new boat!

Be careful doing this. I paid cash for my boat in 2006. Since the date of purchase I've been keeping track of making it mine money dropped into it. 19k later and way upside down now.......well just be careful.

Lol that is the way these things usually turn out. Just remember you are getting use out the thing and that is worth something too. Worth a lot actually :-)

Had the 7's in the middle already, the 9's are the outside speakers. Replaced pod lights.

Pretty good start to my two day spring clean (pics later):

- cleaned bilge
- greased rudder and steering cable
- checked all hoses
- new sealant on muffler
- pulled muffler flaps and impeller to replace with new ones
- pulled shocks off observer seat and bought new ones
- removed old stereo, speakers and wire
- installed new stereo deck, ran new wires for speakers
- vaccumed and shampoo'd the carpet

Got the boat out of the garage tonight.

Tower up, ski deck mounted, checked tire pressure, greased wheel bearings, greased tongue jack.

Refinished the teak last fall. So no time wasted.

Now just need summer to show up sometime here in MN.

Put on new registration decals from 3dlettering.com, I opted for the chrome MC font. Looks so much better than the crappy stickers the PO used.

The remaining parts for my 3 piece sun deck finally arrived from Viper Customs today (I sent it to them 4 months ago). So I was able to get the hatches installed. Vinyl work looks good. The starboard side hatch is too wide though. It rubs hard on the center hatch on opening and closing. I can't open or close it without opening the engine hatch. I've heard nothing but good things about Viper on this forum, but I've got to say... I'm not impressed. They went well over what they quoted me, and it took them 4 months to complete the job. Yeah, I got most of the pieces and hardware a month ago, but the job isn't complete until the customer has everything he ordered. I'm pretty disappointed.

Finally got around to doing a final install of the Clarion 6 (replacing the sweet audiovox that the PO had in the 190 since 1994!..complete with CD input.

Decided not to track down some sort of crappy plastic weatherproof shield so I customized my own backing...I needed the extra depth to avoid the steering cable...ipod connection installed in glove box.

Speakers next...
