[quote=barefoot;929833]Bought a Makita buffer and went to work. I don't know if my boat had ever had a good buffing, but definitly needed it. There was a lot of oxidization and a yellowish sun tint to the gray. Finished the top deck this afternoon and I'm quite pleased with the results.

Shined up very nicely. Looks great.

You can go over the decals...you won't hurt 'em. I got a little heavy in one spot and cleaned off an edge, but that's it.

Replaced my carpet last weekend (came out rather cleanly needing only minor scraping and cleaning to prep for the new carpet). Took yesterday off and rode a 50 mile charity bike ride with my 12 year old son.

Put everything back together today. And yes, the phillips head screws are all turned the same way (attention to detail or, MCOCD?)

Carpet looks fantastic, nice job!
I like your steering wheel, what kind is it and where did you get it? Any closeup pics?

Thanks. The steering wheel is a Grant but not sure of the model. Was on the boat when I bought it.
