All set for 2013!

I last took my boat out on my birthday, 10/23/12.

In the off-season, I have:
- Sand, wax, buff the exterior
- Re-finished the platform
- Cleaned out the speedos
- Shampooed the carpet
- Replaced blower hose
- Replaced impeller
- Changed oil and filter
- Changed tranny fluid
- Cleaned the entire interior

We've owned this boat for almost exactly a year, put 50 hours on it last year, and it looks better today than the day we bought it.

On Feb. 15th, my wife and I had our first baby, a boy named Breck. He will be taking his first boat ride this weekend!

Looks better than it did last year? Heck, I think an argument can be made that it looks better than it did new! That thing is sanitary. Good job.

Okay, I couldn't help it and I'm so flippin' proud of how great it turned out so I'm posting a few more pictures that I just snapped in the garage.

Congrats!! All the way around. One smiley for the boat and one for the little guy. Oh what the heck! We'll give little Breck one more.

tdjaster, can you snap a picture of how your gas shocks work on your motor box. I have the exact same boat as you. I am trying to size replacement gas shocks for my motor box to stay up. Does your setup look something like this..if so what size in (lbs) are your gas shocks?

Removed alternator, alternator brackets, and valve covers. Alternator is getting sent off to get rebuilt and amperage upped, valve covers are getting refinished!

Troy,

How bad was your carpet and what process and cleaners did you use?

Ours on the 190 is really bad from the PO and I was think about renting a cleaner from HD and just use a ton of Resolve / Carpet Cleaner.

Anyone have really bad carpet in their boats that they managed to get clean as opposed to replacing? I would like to get some tips on cleaners that people have used.
