Agreed 100%. I am thinking of adding it to my current trailer. Easy to use once one figures out how to use it. Probably my most favorite safety feature of a trailer aside from an accompanying rear tie down.

That sucker sure looks welded instead of bolted. Maybe just the way I am looking.

The entire unit is a welded piece, but the base is an upside down U shape that slides right over the main horizontal and two bolts go across underneath the main horizontal.

Here is a better picture from the Eagle Trailer and SN itself:

The 4 inch was too large so I went with the 3 inch. Tightening it down causes the outer rollers to get to tight. Will see how it loads. The v block got ruined when my son put the eye on top of it and drove home. Also snapped the rear bunk as the boat was too far forward. And I just redid those bunks also.

I see. I would suggest some sort of secondary attachment on the front too. Either a boat buckle or a safety chain.

It did but very rough. Mainly rusted out, as this was common with the whole THOR outboard and the reason they are now owned by Mercury. He gutted the inside being this was just going to be a show piece in the living room.
