It's not so much doing anything 'to' my MC, but rather 'for' it. Got myself a summer job at the local West Marine- employee discount, here I come!!

Spent 3 hours yesterday polishing 1 half of the tower. I really really hate polished aluminum right now. Also gotta love the "suction" power of a polisher that can draw a bungee right into the wheel. I got spanked pretty good on that one

Took it to the lake and left it on the trailer on the ramp to find the leak.

Such a drag being on the ramp and not heading out to ride ........

Yesterday I installed a new blower hose as the old one was cracked and falling apart. I also pulled all the garbage insulation out of the inside of the engine doghouse. Its ready for some cool shiny sound insulation now. A quick vac and some 303 spiffed up the interior nicely to get it ready for this weekends activities.

Today I plan to install the new blower (I didn't have any shrink wrap for the electrical connections that I will be soldering, and then hit the hull with a wash and maybe test out a variation of the Britts Boat Scrub that eastie has mentioned before.

Finished polishing and buffing the hull. Also pulled the bow, stern and dog house vent grills off and painted them. Sure, the graphics aren't perfect, but it's not too bad for a 24 year old boat.

That brings up a good question. Do MasterCraft employees get an employee discount? Maybe pay cost for new boats? Wonder how much if anything.

I added a seadek pad to the bow step on the X2. Seadek doesnt have a template and it would take 6-8 weeks for them to make one, so I made one. I bought stock material and cut it myself. I will send my template to them so they can make a standard product. I have the faux titanium teak pad on the platform and would like a matching one on the front. Project for next year.

Pictures to follow.

Added a much needed spare tire and bracket, put on retractable transom tiedowns, had the valve stem in one of my tires changed

Today I make sure it still floats :P
