Ok deck/hull joint restored and rub rail re-installed.... found a thread here that the factory guys can install rub rail in four minutes...took me an hour...not bad for an amateur... The OCD is getting the best of me... added the before when all the rivets were taken out...that took way longer...and really boring...

Last weekend I removed the engine cover and stripped the old foam and adhesive. Today I layed out my templates for the new foam. Now I just have to cut the foam and install this afternoon or tomorrow.

While I have it apart I am going to replace all the exhaust hoses. I measured and it looks like I need just over 4 feet for each side from the silent master to the transom and 6" for the exhaust riser to the silent master on each side. I will buy the replacement bolts and riser gaskets while I'm ordering from skidim.

I bought the 1" grey foam from McMaster not the metal covered. You can see it in the last picture the 3 templates are layed out on it.
As for cleaning, it was a pain I used a scraper to scrape it off on all the flat sections then goof off for the corners and curves, total it probably took about 3 hours to clean it maybe less. Removed and cleaned in 1 nap by my son and an hour or so after he went to bed.

Goof off = lighter fluid for the old type fluid-filled tobacco lighters.
