Wire nuts have no place on a vehicle of any kind, IMO. That applies to trailers, too.

I mean all trailers. A crimp cap holds the wire better and the strands will fail before it will let go. A wire nut can spin off just from the two wires being pulled in opposite directions.

Not to change this most interesting and Fun subject but,...

I'm thinking about buying this from sears:

and this from Skidim:

I'm still unsure about the bearings. Has anyone changed from rubber to Vesconite and found any nioses or squeals?

I know on my BMW, I went from Rubber to Polyurethane Bushings and when i went oer a speed bump, i heard this annoying squeak, squeak squeak. I don't think it would be llike that for Bearings but wanted to check...

Well, I went to Harbor Freight and bought
Puller set of 3
Hand Cleaner
Gorilla Glue
Retracting knife
Magnetic Base
Machinists Dial Indicator for Checking Run-Out
Inside and outside Calipers

for almost the same price the Large puller was at Sears...

Now, I need to find a good deal on Bearing Removal Tool...

For a little more, you could have bought a lathe to make your own.

I'm kinda bummed...

I went to a local Lake where it's kinda nice to cruise around and just relax with a fishing pole, and my Maristar failed it's inspection...

Up here in Central California, the Lakes are inspecting to see if anyone has standing water in or on thier boat. The standing water is a n issue because of the quaggamussel If you do you can not launch for 5 days...

See the video here:

http://100thmeridian.org/Video/DMAM2008_WM.asp

My boat has passed many times, but I forgot that i put ice with my lunch in the on-board cooler, and of course it leaked into the bilge...! I simply overlooked the drainage tube.

So, I'm sitting here typing instead of being out on the lake like most of you...
