Attitude plate wiring '08 X-2

I've read all the posts I can find on the Attitude plates, but haven't seen anything on the actual installation. I installed mine this week, & there's one wire I can't find a home for. It's labeled Display, & is in the group that goes to the toggle switch. I tried giving it 12v but it won't activate the VDIG. The plate works, & shows on the VDIG, but won't switch display. Anyone????
My dealer is trying to get info from MC, but the instructions are for '07 & don't cover the VDIG.

any help would be appreciated.

Can't help with the wire but would really like to know how much your dealer charged for the option. I would like to do the install next spring on my 07 X2 but the price I've been given is really high.

Dittos for me too on that thought. When I noticed my X-9 has a hull almost identical to the X-2 at the transom, I wanted to get one installed -- but I am very frustrated with my dealer, the MC factor and the Lenco factory. Seems like no one I talk to know how to sell me one, let alone install it for me

You would think in a recession people would do anything to sell something or install something. I am trying to stimulate the economy!!!

Has anyone asked Jim @ BAWs or MYMC about pricing on this?

yep, I would like to know price as well. There were some threads on here a few months ago about all this, but at work and don't have time to search. You can buy the plate and actuators exteranally. The name of the company I thought is: Bennett Trim tabs

I think if you buy the parts and do it your self its something like %500-$700 and if you pay the dealer then it's like $1,200 (about that..).

This is something that I have on my mind as well, but price is driving it away.

Do I dare say the forbidden words...... Group purchase anyone? Sounds like a dealer could sell 4 or 5 of these at once if they wanted to sell at a fair price. My dealer had me at $1700 after his third estimate for parts alone.

Nice idea. I am in for that if we can get it together. I think the prices I was looking at are in that range too.

Airbornjim, Are there any part numbers on the plate. Lenco makes the plate for MC. I'll call and write them and see if we can purchase at least some of the parts directly if we can get a good Lenco part number.
