Question Is this a good deal? opinions needed on boat!

Ok I think I know the answer to this but want to run it by the experts.

I have found a 2006 X2 with MCX engine....around 250 hours on engine. Pretty standard set up, MC cruise... 2 tower speakers, sub, etc....

I can buy this thing for 42k which includes sales tax in my state 7%. So 42k out the door.

Trailer is single axle (not sure if that matters?) Fiberglass deck off the back not teak.

Should I jump on it or do the prices get better than this? I cant seem to find one any cheaper from an individual or dealer that is close to me and is in as good of shape.

Just want opinions on if that is a good deal. Ideally I want to be in a position in one that I can turn it quickly if I need or want to, or trade up later without being upside down all to hell.

Thanks in advance!

Jake

Tell them to throw in the double axle trailer and then you 'll have a deal.
Not that the single axle is a deal breaker, it's just part of wheeling and dealing.

It's a good deal. For a boat of this size, I'd prefer the single axle trailer.

I bought a 07 X2 with 134 hours in the spring for $40K (without tax). No MCX but double axle trailer, Wet Sounds speakers, heater, shower and PP. This last spring was an unusual time to find this type of deal but people were really freaked out (most for good reason) about the way things were going. I also had a line on a 15 hour 08 X2 with RTP for $46K at the same time.

$42K out the door certainly doesn't sound like a bad price for what you're getting but you're only 3 weeks away from the end of season deals (at least here in MI). They'll be a lot of people out there that just wanted that last season with the boat before they let it go or the people that just won't want the hassle of putting up the boat and storing it for another season.

Unless you're in love with this one and you know it's the one for you I'd wait. Like my father always used to tell me "they'll always be another deal if you wait for it". You’re paying a lot of money; make sure you’re getting the one you want.

This dude is taking a healthy loss...dealer black book on an 06 x2 is more than 35k. It is just a smoking deal. May pull that trigger on that one..has 4 wetsounds speakers on rack and the works!!

I've seen a few X2's for mid to upper 30's in the past 6 months. Those are smoking deals.
