Learning to get up on the Sky Ski can be a real challenge, no question. On the upside, once that part of the process is acquired, things can move along pretty rapidly.

You may remember AirJunky...he used to post here a lot before he "upgraded" (his words, not mine) to a Malibu. He's quite accomplished and recently posted his concept for "training wheels" for the Sky Ski. It allows the rider to get up on the ski at about 5-6 mph, he says, so they can learn the technique for getting up, and for "taxiing" behind the boat without inadvertently and prematurely getting on the foil, which usually results in a crash. Having taught a lot of people to ride the thing, I think this is a very clever concept. Here are the pics he's posted on another site.
