Tower speakers price

local dealer said we wants $4000.00 for 4 MC speakers with lights,that sound right?
any used ones around?

yep price is about right.

might be better off with wetsound speakers, you won't be able to get them with lights, but the sound is awesome.

I sold mine for around 700-800 per pair from my 2006. I have seen some sell for more, some less.

I would go with another brand like Wetsounds for the price they are asking, but the MC cans are the best looking out there by far.

Yep, I just paid $2k for 2. They are well worth it. Don't forget more amps

If they are the JL Audio with lights, yes that's about the price..

Look around a bit on ebay and craigslist. I found a used set on this forum w/o lights for ~$600 for a pair. Also, the lights are about useless for night driving, so save some money and go with the non-lighted ones.

I find the lights very helpful when riding at night. I've got 4 cans, all with lights and its just about as bright as the headlights on my car. Granted it would be nice to have the same power lights facing the rear (I have the factory rear lights also), but the forward facing lights in the cans are mucho helpful when docking at night, loading the boat on the lift, watching for oncoming boats, and debris in the water.

Good point on docking etc. I meant using them for driving. I've found that the tower lights light up the white bow of my boat so much that it kills my night vision. If you have a darker interior gelcoat they may work better.
