I joined the club!

I've been a Mastercraft fan since I was 7 or 8 years old and watching the Stars and Stripes up and down Windermere. Andy Mapple and Mike Hazlewood were both local to us, everyone skied, our neighbour worked for Mastercraft. We saw the odd Nautique but the S&S was king. OUt of our league financially though, we had a little Albatross!

I grew up, joined the forces, went off doing all sorts of stuff and now, 25 years later find myself back at Windermere in the same old Cabin my folks had all those years ago.

I'm still surrounded by S&S (My bro has an all black 1980, his neighbour a 1982 white/blue) but now of course there's a huge range of boats out there, plenty of X Stars and the likes around us.

Now after all these years however, I've bought my own, times are tough as we all know and I didn't want to stretch but I've bought a 1990 Prostar, very good running order, fully refurbed in 01 with receipts and history. Little tatty round the edges as she's stood for 18 months but a good scrub and a little repair here and there she'll be looking lovely. Should be picking her up on Saturday and I really can't wait!

One thing I'm really stuck on is the issue of towers, mostly they look quite ugly on the Prostars, especially they very tall looking ones and I'm really unsure what to do. I 'd like a tower for ease/storage/speakers but aesthetics are important too. Any of you know or suggest a tower that looks well on the 1990?

Any other tips or comments more than welcome too!

Welcome aboard!

You didn't mention if you were getting a PS 190, so I assume that is it. I own a 205 and purchased a Moster Tower www.monstertower.com back when they just came on the market. There are many looks you can get out of it depending on where you mount it. See my picture below.

You can also visit their website and view all the customer pictures and find what they would look like on your boat. http://www.monstertower.com/Home/Cus...3/Default.aspx

Just be careful because you don't mount it right it could look like poop!

Het DD I think the first year for the 205 was 1991 so he probably has a PS190

MY Monster came with the boat

Thanks for that piece of information. I didn't know that.
The Monster looks good on your boat. Good mounting positions the previous owner chose.

Congrats and welcome to the club. I recently put a tower from Big Air Pylons on my old S&S. Different boat, but I really liked the looks and they're about 1/2 price of the other towers.
