steering cable or something else......?
Well I decided not to sell the boat
; So u might see a few threads pop up since I want to get everything in tip top shape. Steering cable.......this is my first inboard, I never even drove another one besides mine, so Im not sure If i need to replace my steering cable? When Im driving and I let go the wheel, it pulls to the right, It pulls really hard the faster I go. Also the faster I go, the harder it is to turn left, is this the steering cable or could it be someting else??? |

The pulling to the right is normal. If you don't like it, you can file one side of the rudder to get rid of that. Search around, there are a few threads on it.
The steering being stiff is probably the steering cable depending on how still. Grease the rudder and lube the cable to see if that helps first.

Look at your rudder, if it looks like someone shaved down one of the back edges that would explain it pulling one direction.
Some guys do this so there is a constant pressure on the wheel when you are trying to drive a straight path. It make it easier to keep a nice straight line when you have a skier/boarder pulling you all over the place. It don't think a bad steering cable would cause any kind of pulling, it would just make steering more difficult in all directions.
