What the heck H.O.?

I have an issue with my animal strings and or locks. Called H.O. to order and was prepared to pay for the replacement parts. Very nice gal answered and said she would get them right out N/C, great. Two weeks later no dice. I called again, not the same gal seemed interested in getting me set up, again I offered to pay, no charge and I will get them out today, she promised. 10 days has now passed and I am getting pissed about the shoddy costomer service. I will call again monday, but why would I ever spend another $1K on one of there skis if the service after the sale amounts to this? I have spent several thousands of dollars with this company and these $2.00 parts could chase me off. I own my own company and If I had this kind of thing going on, it's one warning, then the door.

Tried to buy a vest through their site a few months ago. My card was billed. A few days later, my order was canceled with no explanation. I emailed several times to ask why my order was canceled, but only got another notice that it was canceled.

I finally got it worked out and was ultimately satisfied. I bought an O'Neill vest.

Sorry H.O., but there is no reason I should have to try so hard to give you money.

To me, this forum is about love of inboard boats. It is about the sharing of information and, on a good day, some humor. It is not about post count, brand of boat, or any other superfluous labels that lend themselves to a false sense of superiority. Please, respect one another, try to pass on accurate information, and keep your eye on the ball.

I tried some Draft bindings once and loved their laces. I have them on my Approaches now - much easier to loosen when you are gloved up. The local dealer just called Connelly and got them for free.

I replaced the lace locks on my wife's Animals with a pair from REI. There is a pull tab that's much easher to use with gloves on than the little slider on the original. They cost about $3 IIRC.

I have to take part of my HO bash back. The second set promised showed up today. The new lace locks are another design from the ones that came with my 2007 Animals and appear to be a lot better. The new ones are all black, the pos old ones were black and gray and didn't work well from the beginning. I think I'm off to the races w/ my first set on the Weds. 10 min. install and I'm pumped.
