Where are the better places to go skiing and also hanging out listening to music drinking on the water.

If you come into town don't forget to bring your ski. I would be glad to give you a pull when you need to get away from the family.

My family and I just purchased a 2005 X-2 from Bennett's. We ski/wakeboard at False River, about 30 miles Northwest of Baton Rouge. We keep our boat in Lafayette, at my parent's house...I am at school in New Orleans.

That's awesome, good to see other Mastercraft owners down south. How is the skiing/boarding on False River?

Give Pearl and Jourdan River a try too...

I grew up on the coast of Mississippi and used to go over to Bennett's all the time too. We did all of our skiing on the Jourdan River in Kiln, MS. They've got a pretty good variety of wakeboarders and skiers over there. Just go south on Hwy 603 from I-10 and you'll signs for a boat ramp. Just make sure that you take your boat north past the I-10 bridge...that's the smoothest water on the river.

its only about 30 to 45 minutes from new orleans...Mike Murphy (the air chair guy) has been known to frequent the Jourdan River at times as well!
