differences in ski boats?

Hi Gang.
Yes I'm a Nubie.
I am starting my search for my first ski boat.
looking at older ones.
I was wondering if there was a history section on Team Talk?
Looking to find out the differences between all the different generations of MC ski boats.
Thanks in advanced.

up to 83.5 there are wood stringers. 86-90 same hull bottom(86 has a different top) 91-94 great ski hull.

WELCOME TO TEAMTALK!!!!

Wow... That is a pretty large question... Yes there are some really interesting threads here about Mastercraft history... First off what are you looking for in a boat? You said "Ski boat".. Does that mean actual slalom Ski specific boat or are you talking about a water sports boat in general / wakeboard boat, surf or crossover??? I ask this to get an idea of your point of reference.. When I was younger a "ski boat" was anything that I could tie a rope to that had a large enough motor to pull me. I hope that you find this forum as helpful as I always have.. Great bunch of people here...

C36's thread is super informative.

Shameless plug: I have an older (1997) 190 for sale.

Thank you so much gang.
I have some reading to do.
As for "ski boat", I will never ski a course on a private lake. I just want something to ski and wakeboard behind. I have a 17" Boston Whaler Montauk with a 75hp Etec that I learned to ski behind last year. Looking for an upgrade Thanks again.

That's sort of like asking which religion is best.

It starts with a lots and lots of reading, talking to boat owners, etc. You're in the right place to start! The good news is that you have a lot of time before ski season arrives in your neighborhood. Good luck!
