Mastercraft Prostar 190 1984 Expert Question

Hi, i just bought a prostar 190 supose to be a 1981 but if i check with the old sale receip it's write 1984 the serial number on the boat it's MBODJ119M811-PD.
second question on the cover of the motor it's write mercruiser 260
the seller told me it's a ford 351 engine but when i go to the garage to do a inspection the guy told me it's a 350 gm and he said it's the original motor for sure.

i'm confused

what kind of flusher do you use and where you buy it and if someone made is own post picture please i need one quick.

what kind of transmission i have in this just if i need part or something

If it's a mastercraft that 3rd letter will be a "C". Somewhere on here is instructions on how to read a HIN. The last 2 digits are supposed to be the year of manufacture. So it should be 81, not 11.

Post a pic and I guarantee you have an answer before tomorrow. Not by me, but there are some experts here.

I agree, pictures would go a long way in answering most of your questions.

-The ProStar 190 model designation did not start till 1987, so it's a 8? Tournament Skier or Skier.
-A Fake-A-Lake can be found here, http://www.skidim.com/prodinfo.asp?number=FAK01
-The transmission manufacturer and the base transmission, 1:1 or the PowerSlot, 1.5:1 should be on a tag on top of the transmission.

-Other than that, I'm confused too.

Sounds like its been repowered with a mercruiser engine. If the tag is correct, you have a Mercruiser GM 350 with 260 hp.

In the late 70's and early 80s Rob grabbed what ever he could at times to power the boats
It is possible to have a Mercruiser as original equipment. I have seen 440 Chyslers.
GM Blocks/Conversions where a option UP. Your boat is an 81 according to the HULL ID #

ok sorry i check on the boat the third letter it's not a o it's a c but really hard to see

i check on the transmission it's write velvet drive 1.52:1 it's good or not????
what kind of oil i put in that now it's look like automatic trans oil

i put some photo but for now it's only what i got beacause my garage it's ******* tight with the boat

i think it's a gm
