Replacing Trailer Bunks w/Bunkaps

Has anybody used this product (http://www.bunkaps.com/index.html) to replace the carpet on their bunk boards? Pros & Cons?

Some obvious ones to me…

Pros:
- Never have to replace the carpet again
- No debris in the carpet to scratch the hull
- No wet carpet against your hull
- Cushions boat while towing

Cons:
- Cost (it appears for PS197 trailer it would be around $265+)
