Launching from floating chair?

One thought I had is that if you started from a floating chair it would be like starting while sitting on the side of a dock and make getting up much easier. You would loosely anchor the chair in position, sit in it with ski on your feet hanging under the chair, take out the slack and take off from sitting position.

Anyone ever tried this or know anything about this crazy thought? If needed I can draw a picture. Guess you can tell I don't like the getting up struggle!

You must not use an RTP. I used to use an RTP and jump off the edge of the dock. Now with double high-wraps I just sit on the edge of the dock.

But yours is an interesting idea...

We tried to start beginners from sitting on an intertube, basically the same positition. It failed miserably. Once the line tightened up the intertube didn't move, rather sunk as the weight shifted, and the skier lost balance.
