new windshield
I was gone today to see a guy about putting a new windshield in my toyota... while i was there i got to noticing pictures hanging on the walls...there were a few that stuck out, like an ole mahogany chris-craft and a old jet boat. so i asked the guy what the deal was witht he boats, if they were his or what...he said they were pictures of windshields that he had made custom for people over the years...so i asked, can you make a windshield for a 79 mastercraft...he said yea probably you got it where i can look at it? so i said yea went home and got it and went back up there to show it to him...he said yea i can make that..pretty simple....i asked how much and he said $145... it blew my mind guys... hes gonna replace the windshield on my toyota here in the next couple of weeks and make me a new windshield for the boat....i was so excited i just had to share.

he's going to make the curved windshield for 145 bucks??? that's a smokin deal.

If your boat W/S is flat, Laminated can be cut and installed pretty easy.. Its when you get a curved piece of glass that the problems begin..

yes this is on the $500 boat. gonna put my grand total up to around $700 so far, not bad considering i was out all last weekend cruisin up and down the lake. the windshield on the 79 has a soild one piece curved glass windshield, not sure if you can tell much by looking at the picture but maybe it'll help.

Can you give me this guy's name and number? I have a cracked drivers side windshield and I CANNOT for the life of me find a replacement.

145? Nice. Read my windshield adventure at skiboathelp.com. If this guy can bend up a curved piece of tempered glass for that price, have him make you two.
