Ski Vest

Here is the situation

My brother is a big fella, (54 inch chest)

What I am looking for is a birthday gift (way late)

Tried to look at some of these side entry vests that have a lot less padding than that of the traditional neoprene, the XL/XXL is not going to really fit (46-48) inch chest but the side entry looks like a bouns.

Does anyone on here have that larger build and a comfortable vest suggestion?

Or just a comfortable Vest Suggestion.

BTW..Don't care if it is USCG Approved I don't see him skiing behind one of those king crab boats in the bearing sea.

I've been using the HO Phantom vest for two seasons. Very comfortable. Not USCG approved. The last place I saw them was Trinity Board Shop. They don't make them anymore.

To me, this forum is about love of inboard boats. It is about the sharing of information and, on a good day, some humor. It is not about post count, brand of boat, or any other superfluous labels that lend themselves to a false sense of superiority. The Straightline Ultra vest is a good one. Had mine for 5-6 yrs and it shows no signs of wear. They come pretty large too.

I have always had good luck with Bart's Men's Neo Life Jacket $69. Looks like they make a XXXl(52-56). They have a two year warranty and are USCG approved! http://www.bartswatersports.com/cata...+Life+Jackets&

We have tried the large neo vest from Overtons and it wasn't all that great. With the foam being that large it has a tendancy to wad up.

This one is most similar to the old phantom vest I have.
