Maybe a silly question, but their doesn't appear to be enough gasket in the kit (pictured above) to refit the entire BGE?

You could say that. However, when you get a thin felt substance around 700 degree temperatures (filets and my pizza) it tends not to hold up well over time. Granted we use the heck out of our BGE. We average 3x's a week year round.

The gasket only goes on the lower half.

Hey Mac (& the rest of you strap hangers),

I ordered my Rutland gasket kit. That is pretty slick, thx for the link. Have you done that for yours?

Second, my digital thermometer is toast. I left it in a plastic bin following a road trip we took for the prime rib (see a few pages back in the thread) and somehow water got in there. Needless to say, I'm not happy. I've been looking around online. I see Nakedwhiz has one that monitors (as well as regulates) air temperature while observing meat temperature. What are you using? Any thoughts on this? I'm going to need a replacement.

Third, I'm considering adding an extra Egg to compliment my large for side items. I think the mini is probably too small. The small might work out alright and the medium might be to large. I know you have a large and medium. What are your thoughts?

You need to buy a small Grill Dome from Jeff if you're gonna buy a new one. That way we can get a good comparision between the two. Not to say that he's gonna give yoou a MUCH better deal that BGE would!
