Any real estate agents on TT?

I'm in the midst of a career change and will be starting into real estate. I'm a couple days away from completing all the necessary courses and will be taking my licensing test as soon as possible. So I'm just wondering who else on TT is a full-time agent.

Been in real estate full time since 1999.
Broker and owner of my company since 2002.
Best job ever. I would not have any other way.
I'm in Fort Lauderdale. Cover from palm beach to homestead.
The driving has been getting king of a pain in the neck in the last couple of years down here.
Other than that, I'm very happy.
If you are in the area I'll be happy to chit chat.

27 Years in the business. Mostly good, but there will be lean times and the phone does not give you a break. Be prepared to work "whenever somebody wants you to". That part can get a little old. Buyers can be difficult but the fastest path to cash when you are starting. Work toward becoming a "listing agent", then you have all the other agents working for you when you are skiing. That takes years, but work toward that end. It will help a bunch when starting if you have other household income or a large war chest of cash on hand.

I'm also an agent here in Texas. I quit a pretty good job to do this full time and haven't looked back since.

Not to thread jump but made an offer on a lake lot that has been on the market 2217 days. Seller refused our offer and would not even counter.

Geez. 6 years is a long time. Obviously they don't need to sell it.

I'd make another offer a bit lower than the first.

In the future I would love to start selling real estate as a "retirement" job.

That is simply ridiculous. They don't want to sell...

I've dealt with that too. Real estate agents are a finicky thing as I recently found out. You either have a great one, or you have a terrible one. There's not much in the middle.
