Ghetto Battery Charging

So I plugged in my batter charger last night into a outlet that was hooked up to a light switch. I had everything charging and ready to go for today. I shut off the lights and say goodnight to the boat. I get up this morning to a turned off battery charger and am instantly buzz killed.

Instead of letting it ruin my day I improvised and still made the day happen. I charged the boat while hauling an hour to the lake to recharge my stereo batteries.

So ghetto but it worked.

Power inverter to a cigarette lighter plug. Extension cord out of the sliding back glass. Plug in battery charger and haul to the lake.

It works

Nice. Thats how you make a weekend happen!
I saw a VW that a "mechanic" at a "shop" had done something similar. Only this genius had used an inverter to run a battery charger to recharge the battery that was feeding the inverter in the first place. Some how he thought this would do something other than discharge the battery faster. I couldn't help but grab my VOM and start tracing the drain. It was a 60's bug, i think there were 20 wires in the whole car.

I'm actually surprised you didn't pop a fuse doing that. Nice work.
