How much is it worth

I started a thread to see what barefoot boom and I need a few weeks ago and now that I know what I need, i'm stuck! There is a buy it now auction on ebay form a dealer that is selling what ever boom you need brand new from Barefoot International. It comes with your choice of four or five different booms, a free shirt and free shipping. Everything comes brand new in a box from B.I. My question is that he wants $420.00 Do you think that too much? I looked on their site and they want even more. I would wait for one to show up used but I absolutly need one within two weeks!
Help...

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you. But if you've found it for less, why pay $420?

To me, this forum is about love of inboard boats. It is about the sharing of information and, on a good day, some humor. It is not about post count, brand of boat, or any other superfluous labels that lend themselves to a false sense of superiority. Please, respect one another, try to pass on accurate information, and keep your eye on the ball.

Try and buy on directly from BI. However shipping on these can run as much as $75.00. Oversized and weight. I bought a contour directly from BI at a show for $275.00. It was a dammaged return (scratched paint) and could not be sold as new. Check with Mike he may have some dammaged ones. Also your local dealer may beable to get one. Retail usually runs between $375.00 and $450. Average ebay price seems to be about $300.00 plus shipping.

Good luck.

I'm trying to teach a few people how to barefoot before the southern region show ski tournament. The problem is that I don't have a boom yet and the tournament is at the end of june.

I got a used BI from a friend but had to buy a clamp separately. Altogether I think I have about 260 into it (including shipping). When I was looking, BI didnít have any returned booms but mike told me if you go that rout (a BI return) you would save about 100 off of retail.

You have to look hard and often to find a good used boom because they sell quick. If your in a hurry you may not do so well. I have seen used booms go from 2-400 bucks.

I just missed one on ebay when I wrote the last thread. I wish one would show up because I don't want to pay that much!
