1000++Lbs....What prop??

I have tried to read trough the forum, but can not see to find a solution to my problem.
My PS 190 88 with the 240hp 351W seem to be gettting problems with the weight that in putting in to it. Im running a standard 13x13 prop. but when i put 1000++ Lbs into it the rpm`s drop and it sounds as if the engine is hurting. Need more rpm!!!
I want to get a new propellar but am not wery shore of what i should go at. 12 1/2 X 12" 4 blade or a 13 X 12" 4blade
Maybe another one?
Have a frend going ower to your side of the atlantic and it will be mutch ceaper if he brings one home, like 1/3 of the price.
Thanks for any help

There has been a lot of discussion concerning the Acme props on the board lately. You my want to call Acme direct and ask for a recommendation. A couple of the board members are doing a test on both the OJ and Acme props - you should look for thier results soon.

I would suggest our OJ PROPS 13 X 11 LC 1" 3-blade XMP propeller. We developed this propeller for the 1:1 wakeboard boat. Feel free to give me a call for more information.

Hi Eric. Finally got my boat back good as new. We're heading to the lake for the weekend and I'll be taking the prop you sent me along. Just wanted to keep you posted.

To me, this forum is about love of inboard boats. It is about the sharing of information and, on a good day, some humor. It is not about post count, brand of boat, or any other superfluous labels that lend themselves to a false sense of superiority. Please, respect one another, try to pass on accurate information, and keep your eye on the ball.

I dropped Eric a line a couple of days ago about my testing as well. If the weather holds for the weekend I will get hard numbers for the Acme on my boat and the XMP on my friends 205. Then my test will be half done. I am not going to be in town the following weekend but hopefully the weekend after that we will swap props and finish up the tests. Will keep everyone posted

Yes, we have to send them back. At least the XMP. I paid for my Acme.

The trial of our XMP propeller is open to anyone interested in trying one. It's a try before you buy offer. Every propeller we sell has always come with a satisfaction guarentee. So anyone interested can contact us.

Doug, I'm glad to hear the boat is back and ready to go. I look forward to your's and Brian's test results.

And to Mike, it's good to be here. I hope to be able to help with any propeller, underwater gear or dripless shaft gland questions.
