Louisiana wake: Water conditions after Gustav?!
Went out on Tues. Water was pretty nasty and saw quite a few snakes. Anyone else been out since the storm?

Dindnt really think about my question before the post. Should have revised it. I see your point. Our water is pretty gross on a normal day. Nah man I was going to try and make it out again this week ,but there was alot of driftwood, limbs, ect in the water on tuesday. You guys in texas have some nice spots huh?I was thiunking about making a trip to TSR. I hear its a great place to ride.

No worries. Going to try and make it soon , but if not Ill have to make it to TSR in the winter. Do they operate year round?

Launched in manchac. Water was about six inches over the lower dock and tickfaw had alot of dead fish floating around (smelled pretty bad) so we rode in the Pass. Things wernt that bad ,but I hate to hit a log or something and bend a prop. Going to try again this week if the weather clears out.

This week ought to be perfect for skiing. A little dry front coming through and the water ought to clean up a bit.

Hey BrianM, What is the traffic like on the tchefuncte river? I have heard that it gets pretty busy on the weekends.
