When did the LT-1 show up?
I have an 84 MC with the 351w, but also a '96 vette with the LT-1. What years did MC install the LT-1? Did they still use the oem "optispark"? Were these motors reliable in a marine application?

LT-1 first year was in 93 in the Limited Edition boat they made 25 of. In 94 the 275hp fuel injection was the standard equipment with the LT-1 avalable as an option. The first couple of years of the LT-1 had several ECM updates.

George, I think the LT-1 was an option apart from the 25 190 Limiteds they released. I saw a 1993 S&S on ebay recently that was sporting a nice LT1.

East tx skier, You are correct. I have a 1993 190 with an LT-1 and it is not a special edition. I think that just judging by the number of LT-1 overheat questions; there had to be more than 25 1993 LT-1s on this site. Last edited by Jorski; 05-03-2005 at 01:01 PM. |

I stand corrected. I do know of one S&S in red that had the LT-1 It was the first red S&S to come off the line. It lived in NC I'll see what my brochure says in my spare time.
