Eric I have to ask since you are one of the barefoot gurus. Tower boom or vdrive boom? I am lloking ot buy one and I talke to Action and they said the tower booms are hard to get adjusted and that they sit too high. He said he could sell me a used vdrive boom for a decent price. What say you?

kycat Tower boom all the way! I got a tower boom last year and love it. I debated between the tower boom and vdrive boom and I was told that you will get alot of spray with a vdrive boom on most boats. The tower boom is hard to put on in open water but not that bad with two people and it is not that hard to adjust it.

slight threadjack.........is there a tower boom available for an '05 x-star that mounts across both front tower legs and across the windshield? I remember seeing a pic on one once, maybe it was in an ad for someone's ski school?

Seems like a more simple way to mount one and maybe stronger too.

What tower is it for. Will it fit '06 X-15?
