Subwoofer Boxes

Does Everyone Have Them Under The Bow? (where You Lift The Passenger Seat To Get To It)

Or Is The Sub Under The Steering Wheel?

If Its Under The Bow, Does This Muffle The Sub Too Much?

Thanks Guys
Jay

re

It muffles it quit a bit, i had it under the passanger lift seat, moved it to under dash, rattled the crap out of every thing. Moved it back under passanger seat added anoth 500 watts sounds decent now. I may cut a hole the size of the factory speakers and just mount a grille over the hole. (in a clean way of course)

mine's under the dash. they removed the kick panel, intalled a custom fiberglassed mdf box with a tuned port, secured it and then fabricated a new carpeted "false wall" with a grill, port cover and my heater vent. sounds great and nothing rattles. you will lose quite a bit behind the observer seat.

On my '05 197 that I bought from MYMC, he had a sub under the observers seat, but had cut in one of the aluminum grilles from the transom to let the sound "escape". This was in addition to the sub under the driver's footwell.

Thanks!

I traded mine in in February, so I can't take any pics.

I have one mounted all the way forward of the big passenger side storage locker, right at the front seat. It's not muffled at all and sounds great, but I do loose some volume with it in the compartment rather than it being in the open air
