Thumbs up For Sale; another Gorgeous Red Prostar 209 SD

Check out my 2002 Prostar 209 Sammy duvall on Ebay...item #270271193390.
A gorgeous, clean boat. I think you'll enjoy the look. Put out the word to those that may be in the market. My reserve is a bit higher than NADA but this is one of those rare boats in exeptional condition for an 02 w/353 hrs.

I guess I'll ask a few questions while I'm at it. The wife and I noticed how tight our 205 was this weekend with 4 kids and gear. Granted, we don't have a tower to get things "up"......how has your 209 been? How would you compare the ski wake to the 205 or 197? I don't really need the tower but I sure like the idea of gaining some of my room back. I also don't like the idea of drilling into the 1994 205....just for a tower.

Jeff,
Sorry it's taken so long to reply... we are having computer problems at home. I can't tell you how much we enjoy the 209. I was a CC man for 20 yrs. and even tried a Vdrive. When I got in the Mastercraft I vowed I would never have to look for another boat. The wake behind the 209 is a bit steep at lower speeds and longer rope. 22 and 28 off @32&34 are great. After so many years of dealing with ropes and not being able to sit people in the back, it was like having a little slice of heaven after installing the tower. We average 3-5 ropes out all the time. W/the tower we have no worries. I hav'nt even come close to running over a rope since the tower has been installed. I was also like you of being deahtly afraid to tap the gelcoat. So I just let the Pros do it. They did a very professional looking job. Anyway thanks for looking.
Dawg.

Being the owner of a 205 and 205V I who has skied the 209 as well, I would say that the 209 and 205V wakes are similar. I like the ski wake on the 205 better but the rest of the family loves the 205V. There is more room for people and everything is easier to store. People can sit anywhere they want when you ski because of the pole in back. The wakeboard wake is better on the 205V as well. In my opinion, if you are going to give up the great ski wake for room and comfort go with a V Drive for all the other advantages.
