There's a nice little 86 on the Llano river arm of Lake LBJ. I always enjoy seeing it each summer when we go down there for my wife's family's reunion.

To me, this forum is about love of inboard boats. It is about the sharing of information and, on a good day, some humor. It is not about post count, brand of boat, or any other superfluous labels that lend themselves to a false sense of superiority. Please, respect one another, try to pass on accurate information, and keep your eye on the ball.

I just bought a 1986 MC, ford 351 PCM, 1:1 velvet drive,Skylon flyhigh pole, wakeboard, skis, and kneeboards. It has seen plenty of hours. It came with all new skins to be replaced except the rear seat. the gell coat has been redone and is peeling. It will never be like some of the one's seen on this board, but It's my first MC.Could someone confirm when the hull changed? I read on this post that the 86 was a change over year. Please any info on this boat would be helpfull. I can post some pic's tomorrow.I have had the boat 10 weeks and have changed the ring gear, starter, changed foward and reverse clutch plates, plugs, oil and batery myself ( i like a challange) and am still in boat the for under $3500.00 so I think i got a pretty good deal.

IIRC, the '86 was the then to be '87 ProStar 190 hull with the '85 deck, windshield, dash and interior.

IIRC, the '86 was the then to be '87 ProStar 190 hull with the '85 deck, windshield, dash and interior. Then in '87 they used that hull with the new deck, windshield and interior and it became the ProStar 190.

The 86 hull was the same as the 85 hull. The interior and dash where unqiue to that year. Also
the 86 side RAINBOW Graphics. I am working on NEW GRAPHICS for the sides to be made custom

Keep everyone informed'
