Anchor......

Just wondering if you should use one or two anchors when docking onshore? Afraid the current my turnd boat sideways.

One anchor with plenty of lineout, except if you are underway.

LOL.......My bad, I was eating when I typed that. I was trying to say that when we dock near shore and put an anchor out front, I was concerned that current or waves would push the rear of the boat towards the shore and cause problems. I come from an I/O which we would pretty much run the boat on shore with the motor trimmed up and tie up to a tree or stake.

One anchor, usually with a line from the rear of the boat tied to shore. Those dog leash holders that screw into the ground work awesome for the shore line.

I read ya. You should look at this thread. It has a few anchoring methods that many use.
