Prostar 209 X9 MCX 1:1 Prop?

So I am entertaining the idea of upgrading the factory prop. Specs show a 12.5x12 OJ 4 blade shipped from the factory and I assume is on the boat right now.

Goals - I have a rough vibration during the hole shot which eventually cleans up around 20 mph which I would like to eliminate. I would like a bit stronger hole shot and if possible a few mph for footin'.

Currently considering these 3 Blades:
Acme 843 13x12 0.08 Cup
OJ XMP 346 13X12 0.09 Cup
OJ XMP 348 13X12 0.11 Cup

I get the diameter and pitch effects but, can anyone tell me what effect the cup differences will have on performance?

Anyone have any first hand experience with any of the above props?

Thanks in advance!

Call Eric at OJ and talk to him. He is great to work with and will be glad to tell you more than you could possibly want to know about props..

Our 13 X 11 LC XMP 3-blade has replaced the 12.5 X 12 as standard on the 1:1 boats at MC. The 13 X 12's you are looking at would not provide the low end improvement you are looking for, the 13 X 11 would with no loss on the top end. The 13 X 12's should also put your max RPM below the suggested max RPM.

Cup.....Much has been made of cup in recent years. The more cup in a propeller the lower the RPM will be. Less cup allows the motor to spin up higher.

Give me a call anytime if you have other questions.

Thanks for the reply Eric,

So #342 or #344? From your description above I am leaning towards the #342.

I will call you today if I get a chance......

You will know by the size of the prop which is on it now or you can check the ratio tab on the top of the transmission.
