2004 Mastercraft X-9 Sub Placement

I have a x9 2004.. i just installed
CMD5 deck
jl audio amp 4300 for 4 tower speakers
jl audio mono m1400 for 1 sub JL10w6V2
and left the clarion 480 with 4 cockpit speakers alone
i put in 2 remotes front and back..
i have the sub in the passenger storage..
im curious how hard it would be to put the box and all under driver side,, but not sure what id be getting into

any info would be helpful.. Im mainly trying to get best quality and leats rattle,, im up for nay otehr ideas anyone has as the sub is in in its own box and all
the whole system screams and is very powerful,, just would like sub out of storage

there is a hole in the panel under the driver for a sub. the carpet covers it but there is a hole there!!


let me know what u come up with. i am trying to figure out the same thing in my 2003 209!!

There is very little room to mount a sub with a enclosure. Mine has a heater and it takes up quite a bit room. The factory clarion sub in mine does make some bass but not great as it is open air.My local stereo guy said you can get shallow subs that need about 1 cubic ft min for the enclosure.What about a bass tube that sits behind the front drivers bow and port it to the panel under the drivers cockpit?

i am thinking of a sub box sitting behind my drivers seat.

that is mostly dead space except for the cooler and unless i use the jumbo one there would still be plenty of room!!

any thoughts?
plus with this i could just unplug it and take it out in the winter!!!

how do you like that M1400 with the 10W6V2?

are you running it at 2ohms or 4ohms?

sealed or ported? why wanting to move? just for space? or does it not sound good?
