Sunglasses, etc ...

While we are on the subject of sun defense what are you guys wearing for sunglasses?

I have a pair of Costa Del Mar Turbines, I like them so much I bought my wife a pair. Their specially made for water sports. Great glasses.

Sun Specs.

I'll tell you, I don't think I've ever had sunglasses (at any price) with better optics than Smith. The clarity and definition are unbelievable. With some of their "slider" series which include interchangable lenses of varying darkness, the yellow lenses actually make things appear brighter in low light conditions. Typically retailing for $99, they are not cheap but they are much more reasonably priced than some others. I've got 4 pair of Smiths, 1 Nike and 2 Bolle. The Smiths are by far the better optics.

I wore Oakleys for years. But, they always broke or scratched etc. Costa Del Mar will replace the lenses for free if you scratch them. They have an scratch resitant coating on the lens. They are polarized and have different lens, some for water, etc.

Rick, why don't you post a pic of yourself in your shades, "moving them in, moving them out?"

I lost two pairs of Oakleys in the lake (~$250 total). Now I wear some $16 cheapo's from the sporting goods store. Lost a pair last week. Went to the store after being out on the lake and shelled out another $16 for a new pair. Didn't hurt as bad as losing the Oakleys. I still keep a pair of Oakleys in the car, but do not take them on the boat.

Brian- you know Oakley has a lifetime warranty on theirs, too? If anything breaks, they replace it.
