Unfortunately I am still working toward my own dock on Lanier, but my parents dock on the opposite side of the lake has killer sunset views. I think I get more use than they do.

Ehh, partial truth. They do not want to permit additional private dock permits, however they are encouraging community docks by neighborhood. Once again if you have enough friends or money you can write your own rules.

Finally got a hoist to go with my boat's new home on Pine Lake. I'm loving this lake. The ski course is shielded pretty well from the wind most days and traffic is low.

I scored a relatively new hydrohoist over the weekend for $1,500. I've been looking all over the SE for months and the cheapest I had found used was $4,500 and was 250 miles from home. We were cruising down the lake and one of my boys spotted it in a guys yard. He had sold his inboard and bought a toon and just wanted it gone. Oh, and it was only 3 miles away!

If you see any more like that, let me know! A double slip dock is in our future and we will need another lift. A deal like that makes it worth buying and storing for awhile.
