Just finished my teak and waxing job. I also wet sanded out all scratches and nicks. There's not a mark on the boat! Sound is next.

PS

Gel coat looks perfect. What steps and products did you use? I've just purchased a 1999 205 that is going to need some light buffing.

I used 3M Marine Rubbing compound for the worse spots, 3M Marine Finesse-It II everywhere, followed by Trewax Four Seasons Boat Wax. I applied the rubbing compounds with a circular buffer and the Proper Auto Care orange foam pads. I applied the wax with the red pads. I smeared the wax on with a hand held sponge applicator quickly followed by (before it dries) a red foam pad on the circular buffer to thin it out and evenly apply (the thinner the coat the better). Once dried I used another clean red pad on the circular buffer to buff it out.

BrianM suggested the 3M products and they worked excellent!

Yep, been busy. I've also added aluminum diamond tread plate on the trailer where the non-skid tape use to be. It made a huge difference in the appearance of the trailer. There's just something about loose tape flopping in the wind that is not very attractive........
