Well I had asked before anout adding a Deck Access Plate to get access to the stuffing box.
http://www.tmcowners.com/teamtalk/sh...ad.php?t=20965 It had been done, but here is the how to thread. We did this yesterday in less than an hour or 2 beers each.

We decided to pull the floor for simplicity sake. Here is the floor on the saw horses with the deck access plate and the beverage du jour.

A quick view of the underside of the floor. Note the spray line from the packing nut- This will come in very handy later.
Note the reinforcements for the motor-box hinges. The one was pulled through the bottom layer of the honeycomb when we bought our boat.

To find center measure the width of the floor divided by two. Our floor (1994 Prostar 205) was 27.5".

Marking at 13 3/4" width for centre.

Measuring back from the line in the carpet to make sure that the deck access plate when centred on that spray line will not interfere with the engine box.

Knowing that the deck plate will not interfere with the engine box we drilled a centre hole for the deck plate.

Using a fabricated compass to scribe the radius for the widest part of the deck plate that will be resting inside the floor. This width will vary by deck plate.
Screw measuring twice, measure three times and cut once when dealing with the floor of your beloved boat.
